I support improving the existing Flood Control plan and my job plan cause for dredging the Sacramento River. Twenty thousands (20,000 New jobs for Sacramento and surrounding areas.) Modify or update all bridges over the water ways starting at or near the port of Sacramento, all the way out to our major water ways. This will help ensure that California's safety, as well as creating new jobs by bringing larger ships into the port of Sacramento to pick up and deliver goods that will help our economy. In addition, we need to revisit the "Flood-control project for Sacramento region that was believed to be unneeded and too costly during 1992 according to the Los Angeles Times." Sources say that Sacramento areas are less prepared for a major rain storm then New Orleans was during Katina seven years ago, the thought of just opening the flood gates and letting the water flow in Del Paso Height is Un-American. I say that we would be better off having it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.
